    HPHT CVD Diamonds Description


    Lab Grown Diamonds, also known as man made diamonds, cultured diamonds and lab created diamonds, are grown in a highly controlled laboratory environment using advanced technology.
    Although laboratory-grown diamonds are formed in different environments and conditions from natural diamonds, both natural diamonds and lab diamonds are crystals composed of pure carbon, and the physical properties, chemical properties, crystal structure and optical properties of the two are the same. Both lab grown diamonds and mined diamonds are real diamonds.

    Can we distinguish between laboratory grown diamonds and natural diamonds?
    Yes it is. However, only diamond professionals can identify the difference between laboratory grown diamonds and natural diamonds by using professional diamond identification equipment.

    HTHP and CVD are the two main methods for making laboratory-grown diamonds.
    High temperature and high pressure method (HTHP) uses graphite as raw material. HPHT diamonds are manufactured at a pressure of 5-6 GPA (approximately the pressure produced by a commercial jet landing on a human fingertip) and a temperature of 1300-1600°C.
    CVD diamonds come from various gases, such as methane. They are stored in a vacuum chamber, which decomposes the molecules of the gas, and then these molecules gather on the pre-existing diamond seeds.
